Vienne and surroundings

The city of Vienne
Vienne is the sub-prefecture of the Isère département, at the heart of the Rhône Alpes Auvergne region. It is a charming little town with a population of 30,000. Its greatest asset is its historical heritage. Rich from its ancient past, it had the privilege of bearing the title of Roman city, and many of its monuments are still standing: the temple of Augustus and Livia, the ancient theatre, the chariot-racing pyramid...

A historic heritage
You can admire the historical heritage, the magnificent Cathedral of Saint Maurice and the remains of the Château de La Bâtie are just a stone's throw from your flat.

What to see in the area
In the immediate vicinity of the city of Vienne, you will discover the exceptional vineyards of the Northern Rhône Valley: Côte-Rôtie, Condrieu, Vitis Vienna, Croze Hermitage... A little further afield, you can go hiking in the Pilat massif or discover the château de Septême.
